Position Title: Store Managers
Location: Various Island Locations
Job Description: Manages the store to ensure sales and profits are optimized by customer service and proper maintenance of inventory controls according to established company procedures. Accountable for achieving profitable store operations by effectively planning, executing and reviewing all functions, in conformance with Company policy and under the overall direction of the Island Manager.
Job Responsibilities: Establish a work environment which encourages commitment to sale and profit objectives.
Motivate associates to sell related add on or substitute merchandise to maximize sales and profits.
Ensure a high level of customer sales and satisfaction.
Monitor store compliance in providing complimentary certified appraisal certificates to ALL customers who purchase gemstones.
Manage and supervise store personnel, provide motivation and demonstrate leadership to improve customer satisfaction and sales performance.
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and maintain store security.
Work with Island Manager to establish sales associate quotas and work schedules to ensure adequate floor coverage at all times.
Resolve customer complaints according to company policies, using sound judgement to ensure a high quality of customer satisfaction while maintaining company interests.
Approve refunds, voids, and exchanges in compliance with company standards and policies.
Ensure proper receiving shipping, stocking and inventorying of merchandise.
Take responsibility for self-growth within the organization, through various training and development materials offered by the Company, and by demonstrating the ability to move to the next level.
Audit and maintain store reports to ensure operations are in compliance with Company procedures.
Recruit and select qualified associates.
Provide training to store personnel by on-the-job training and utilize available programs.
Conduct morning briefings on observations from the previous day. Highlight exceptional performance and include motivational message for the day.
Accountable for managing overall stores operation.
Ensure merchandise presentation is in compliance with company standards.
The incumbent must lead by example, set the right tone and project positive frame of mind.
Requirements: High School equivalent and one/two years of retail jewellery experience or education equivalent.
Minimum two years experience in retail jewellery sales.
Working knowledge of retail sales, merchandising and working knowledge of jewellery, watches and diamonds is required.
Ability to work under pressure and resolve customers and associates complaints.
GIA certification is desired.
